Meet the parish team
Rev’d Alan Saunders
Vicar
As Vicar of St. Peter’s parish Alan leads a team who are excited to share the Gospel. He is an evangelist at heart and has an exciting vision for the future of the church across this part of the town. He is a keen trumpet player, performing regularly with the Salford Symphony Orchestra, and also enjoys sea kayaking.
Josh Openshaw
Pioneer Minister
Josh joined the Team in September 2025 as a Pioneer Minister looking to plant a new church for young people in Bolton, supported by St. Peter’s Parish.
Sam Wolstencroft
CAP Centre Manager
Our Christians Against Poverty (CAP) office has been running for over 15 years! Sam has worked as our CAP Centre Manager for 9 of those, having previously been our Debt Coach. She works with clients, coordinates our team of support workers, puts on client events and works on publicity and referrals for the centre.
Amanda Blease
Parish Business Manager
A member of St. Peter’s Church, Amanda joined our staff team in September 2009. Amanda’s responsibility is day to day administration for both the work of the parish as a whole, St. Peter’s Church and the Parish Centre.
Elaine Vincent
Parish Finance Officer
Elaine joined the Team in 2019 and helps look after our Parish finances and assists in the running of the Parish Office.
Dave Park
Caretaker
Dave joined the Team in 2024 as Caretaker and works across the parish, especially in St. Peter’s Church and the Parish Centre.
Simon Scott
Churchwarden
Simon has worshipped at St. Peter’s for about 20 years and was elected churchwarden in 2024. He brings a wealth of experience to the role having served in this and other related capacities in a previous parish. He is a member of the Tech team, regularly volunteering on the sound desk with his wife, Carol.
