If you prefer, you can still give during our Sunday services simply by placing your gift on the offering plate. Or you can use a giving envelope on a Sunday to give by cash or cheque. Don’t forget to fill in a gift aid form too if you’re a UK tax payer and eligible for gift aid rebates. Cheques can be made payable to ‘St Peter's Halliwell’.
Leave a legacy
If you are considering making a bequest to St Peter's, one of the sister churches, or our national and international miinisties, or have already included a gift to St Peter's in your will and would like to talk to somebody or require more information, then please feel free to contact us at firstname.lastname@example.org or speak to Peter Caffrey on 01204 599900. This information will be treated in confidence and is not binding in any way. General information is also available from churchlegacy.org.uk
One of St Peter's values is that we are generous: We love to serve others and give of our time, talents and treasure! If you come along regularly to one of our churches at St Peter's, or if you’re new to us, would you consider joining us in being generous too?
Contribute your time
If you come to one of the services on a Sunday, or one of the many activities happening throughout the week, you will meet all sorts of people serving on welcome teams, worship teams, youth & kid’s teams, and helping in many other ways. We want to invite you to be part of our church family, and like a good family, everyone gets stuck in! There are lots of ways you can help our Sunday gatherings and midweek activities be life changing experiences for all that come. If you’re new to the church then serving in some simple way is the perfect way to meet people and get settled. We’d love for you to contribute, just ask one of our staff or a team member.
Contribute your finances
The work of St Peter's Parish relies on the generosity and financial support of our members and friends. We’d love for you to contribute in this way as well. At each service there’s an opportunity to give during the offering. If you attend St Peter's or one of our sister churches regularly, would you consider giving monthly to us through standing order? Your giving supports the work of St Peter's Parish here in Bolton, and also our many mission partners locally, nationally and overseas.
Tax efficient giving
UK tax payers: If you are a UK tax payer (Income or Capital Gains Tax)
and would like us to be able to claim back the basic rate tax through the government's gift aid scheme,
you will need to fill in, sign and return to us an ongoing Gift Aid declaration
if you have not done so already. The benefit to St Peter's is that it can recover the basic rate of income tax,
currently 25p for each pound given at no extra cost to you.
(If you pay higher rate tax, you may recover this through your own tax return)
